Once you have it installed go to one of your websites in your browser and click on the info button. You can register the site there. Once you do that, I am hearing rumors that google is using their descriptions as a partial weight in their present algo, make sure when you register it you take the same time you would coming up with a good anchor text line for important links.

Also you can add your site at DMOZ. Hey.... I know but you may get lucky.
