Newsletter for Feb 7, 2006 --- Volume 1 Number 4

I am sure glad I am working inside today. It is COLD out here in PA in the 20s the way it feels. Anyway enough weather on with the news! Links are Blue. -- This is the almost weekly newsletter from Joe. I sorta run these sites. Some of you know me pretty well and others know me from ebay and various conventions around the country.

As you all know by now I sell a lot of links and also do a good bit of SEO ... Search Engine Optimization... work. I don't always hold true to the conventional SEO practices but sort of go my own way. So if your looking for something a bit different I may be the guy to talk to.

We are still testing some new linking formats on the 1000 sites. I am trying several variations of this format. If you would like to be a TEST SUBJECT let me know. I am testing it 3 ways now so you can have a link from all 3 for a total of 3000 links for only 50.00 bucks for a year. If it works good you made out well if not you still got 3000 links. The next piece of important information is... -- I have a really neat way of building dynamic sites now I would like to share with you. Once I got the system working I was about to have a site working instantly with about 77,000 pages as soon as I activated it on the server.

Dynamic Server Pages -- If you are looking to do this on your servers Ill explain here briefly how it was done.

First I took a database of all the SIC codes ... Standard Industry Classification Codes, The United States Zip Code directory and the list of businesses in the country by SIC code. Then I created a database of all the web sites that were going to be on the server. In this database I added the primary key phrase I was shooting for and also a related SIC code.

Then Levi the genuis programmer wrote a php script which included templates. These templates drilled down through the states and counties and area codes and zips pulling the key phrases from the database along with other data.

These programs were then aliased in a default directory and then I also aliased a default.html file. So as soon as a site was created on the server. It was already complete with the 77 thousand pages or so.

I need to do some more work on my templates but you can see the basic example of a couple sites at: http://www.apartment-living.info or http://www.billboard-ads.info I also added some articles on the pages and did some other work. If you are interested in the techy details I plan on writing up a tutorial on it in the near future.

New Link Topics -- Well since the dynamic pages have worked so well I put up a bunch of new sites using them. They are available as a text link for only 49.95 per topic for a year of links on all the pages of the site with the exception of the main page and the admin sections. So far the overall winner of my tests is a dating site called sex search. I am getting conversions now of 1:45 so thats not bad at all. I am also getting a profile ratio of about 1 in 6 hits.
